Hajj Essentials: Your Roadmap to Spiritual Triumph
As part of your Hajj journey, all UK pilgrims are required to complete biometric enrolment as part of the Saudi visa process. This is a mandatory step that allows the relevant authorities to securely verify your identity and process your travel documentation.
At Hajj Guides, we aim to make this process as simple and stress-free as possible. Through the official Saudi Visa Bio App, you can conveniently complete your biometrics from the comfort of your home, without the need to attend a visa centre.
We strongly encourage all pilgrims to complete their biometric submission as early as possible to avoid delays in visa processing and ensure a smooth preparation for your journey.
Detailed guidance, step-by-step instructions and multilingual video support are provided to assist you throughout the process. For those with medical or exceptional circumstances, alternative arrangements may be available subject to supporting documentation.
Capturing fingerprint images using the Saudi Visa Bio App can sometimes be challenging, as certain devices or cameras may struggle to produce acceptable results. Based on recent and past experiences, the following tips have proven effective, often succeeding on a second attempt:
Try a different device: If your current phone continues to fail, switch to another device or camera.
Use compatible devices: Newer Android devices (such as Google Pixel 6/7, Huawei, and Samsung models) have shown the highest success rates for fingerprint capture.
Apple device users: Some newer Apple devices may produce reflections, affecting image quality. Adjusting your camera resolution to 4K has helped improve results.
Moisturise fingertips: Lightly moisturising your fingers can enhance fingerprint visibility and improve capture quality.
Positioning is key: Keep your fingers close together and as near to the camera as possible. Slowly move the device closer until the on-screen indicator turns green, confirming a successful scan.
Elderly pilgrims: Extra care may be needed, as fingerprints can be less defined. Take your time and try multiple attempts if required.
Lighting and background: Avoid bright lighting and reflective surfaces. A dark or black background works best for accurate capture.
Reset and retry: If you continue to experience issues, delete the app, reinstall it, and submit your fingerprints again—this has resolved many cases.
Declined visa application:
Do not be alarmed. In many cases, simply deleting the app, reinstalling it and resubmitting your biometrics has led to a successful outcome.
Application under review:
This is a normal stage. Please remain patient, most applications are approved in due course. If required, you may be asked to resubmit your biometrics.
If you have scarred, amputated or disfigured fingers, do not be discouraged. Many applicants in similar situations have successfully completed their biometric submission after multiple attempts. Persistence is key.
